I
took my first steps on ice at the age
of four in my home town Nancy, in the
east of France. I was lucky. The ice skating
rink was close to my parents work and
I was able to go there every evening after
school.
I quickly got into the sport. It required
perseverance despite falls and injuries.
It required trying new jumps, turns and
movements and then repeating them over
and over until I got them right.
